Wack mode provides three bonus modes with variations on random. This is great for generating patches randomly, and we all know sometimes the best things come out of random experimenting.
In Wack mode, each of the modes behave differently. They give you variations on random triggering, allowing you to easily switch up a pattern instantly.
In the divide by power of two mode, there is a 50 percent chance that a trigger will generate at each step. In N mode, a single random trigger is generated at each step. In .2N+1 mode, each output has a 50 percent chance of triggering.
You can play with the offsets and switches together to get a variation in trigger order. Who knows, you could press a button and find your new favourite pattern. If you like randomness and experimentation, this is the module for you.
There’s three different divisor modes that change patterns. You can choose to divide by power of two, sequence of eight, or divide by odd numbers. Each of these changes up your patterns and triggers in certain ways.
The clock input responds to a rising edge at about 3.3V. Inputs are normalled to each other, so when you’ve connected one clock, it will drive both divider sections. Additionally, you can also clock each section individually.
