Crafted for the player
Designed with the player in mind, Knoxville guitars prioritise minimal weight and excellent ergonomics. As such, the body of the instrument is crafted from lightweight poplar, allowing you to play for hours without strain, and ensuring you always feel your best during practice sessions.
The classic single cutaway design and contoured body shape offer easy access to the entire fretboard, and the body's in-built strap buttons make it easy to attach a strap (sold separately), enabling you to jam in whatever position feels most comfortable for you.
Special Edition styling
This Special Edition Knoxville goes all-in on a darker aesthetic. Its matte black finish is matched by a black headstock, black die-cast machine heads, black dome knobs, and black hardware for a coordinated look across the guitar.
Against that blacked-out finish, the three-ply mock tortoiseshell pickguard adds a contrasting splash of colour and detail. White dot fretboard inlays keep position markers easy to spot, completing a distinctive take on the classic Knoxville shape.
Reliable hardware
The maple neck and laurel fretboard provide a solid platform for regular playing, while medium-jumbo nickel frets give you plenty of room for chords, riffs, and lead work. At the headstock, six black die-cast machine heads provide straightforward tuning.
A vintage six-screw bridge completes the setup, giving you individual saddles for adjustment. The guitar also comes fitted with 10-46 gauge strings, while an Allen key is included for relevant adjustments as you get familiar with your instrument.
Fuller sound from dual humbuckers
Unlike the regular Knoxville's two single-coil configuration, this Special Edition is equipped with two humbuckers. This HH setup provides a fuller, punchier character and gives the guitar its own tonal identity within the Knoxville range. A three-way selector lets you quickly switch between the two pickups:
- Bridge pickup only
- Bridge and neck pickups
- Neck pickup only
Explainer: pickups capture the vibrations of your guitar strings and turn them into an electrical signal that can be sent to an amplifier.
The bridge humbucker gives you a more direct sound for riffs and lead parts, while the neck humbucker provides a rounder character for smoother playing. Select both together when you want a blend of the two.
Keeping things straightforward, one volume and one tone control put the essentials within easy reach. Use the tone knob to adjust the guitar's brightness, then control your overall output with the volume knob.
