Maple tonewood provides exceptional clarity

Maple is the classic wood for achieving high-quality tones with exceptional clarity. The sound produced has an emphasised low end with balanced middle and high-end frequencies. Maple drums are versatile, suiting a range of styles, making them ideal for studio and live performances. For the Masters range, Pearl has refined their production of maple to a select number of premium cuts that deliver optimal quality and tight, consistent sound. This model of the Masters range uses cross-laminated plies of maple to make the shell 28-percent thinner than standard 6-ply shells.

Pearl's Superior Shell Technology for extreme shell strength

Pearl's Superior Shell Technology utilises a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. It begins with select woods chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams, for a perfect air-tight fit. The wood plies are saturated with Pearl's proprietary ''AcoustiGlue'' that permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. Finally, the plies are formed in high-temperature moulds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to produce perfect drum shells that exhibit superior tone, optimal resonance and extreme strength.

SuperHoop II hoops on toms

The Pearl Masters toms all feature SuperHoop II hoops, offering perfect rim shots and cross-stick effects. These cleverly designed hoops are precision formed from heavy-duty, 2.3mm steel and provide optimal resonance and articulation.

Masters professional drum hardware

Professional hardware touches include SP30 spurs, LB40 floor tom legs, insulated die-cast bass drum claws, and our sleek bridge-style CL lugs for reduced shell contact and improved shell performance. All rack toms are equipped with Pearl's OptiMount suspension system that features a triangular design with two tension rod attachment points and another through one of the drum's two air vents. Rubber isolators at all connection points enable the drums to vibrate.
