XSR Sound and Performance

Sabians XSR cymbals are designed with care and precision, crafted from pure Sabian B20 bronze using many of the processes they used to for their Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals and then given a pin point lather and hammered to a professional standard. The trickle-down technology helps to enhance the cymbals profile as well as redesigning and reshaping the bell to accelerate the overall tone of the cymbals, this gives the 18" XSR Chinese cymbal a raw and nasty response that is tonally tight and highly agressive for playing bright, but dirty patterns or fast, attacking accents.

Bronze construction

The XSR Cymbal series features B20 bronze construction. This type of bronze is mainly made up of copper and tin and has a reputation for being difficult to work with. However, the expert craftsmanship at Sabian continually produce cymbals that provide versatile style to suit genres ranging from blues to rock.
