Key Features
The Dreadbox Kinematic, VCA-Based compressor offers the perfect option to obtain the most out of your tone. Utilising an envelope filter and a post-diode overdrive circuit which is suitable for both electric instruments and also Eurorack synthesizer using CV inputs. Taking dynamic processing to new heights, the Kinematic operates utilising a crystal clear VCA-style compression that ranges from subtle soft-clipping to squashed limiting with adjustable post-compression and an overdrive circuit that is built to infuse more aggression.

The Kinematic can be a powerful addition to any setup, giving you much more than just dynamic control. Embellish every note with thick harmonic saturation, and weight, and more importantly, keep every note consistent and at the same level. Utilising a huge dynamic range, overdrive, and an envelope filter, every sound that is emitted is studio-ready, perfect for creating a sound which needs no after-effects on them. This is all owed to the VCA-style compression that can take away any loud transients, for total unity in terms of amplitude.
The compression mode can be adjusted with the onboard mini-switch to toggle between Comp, Colour, or Envelope Filter modes. In compression mode, the Kinematics filter knob works by adjusting the frequency band to be compressed and the envelope knob controls the ratio of the compression signal. Utilising the overdrive on the pedal you can embed slight saturation, or if you require, dial it up to obtain a ferocious fuzz. In filter mode, the filter knob works as a cut-off for the low-pass filter to clean up your tone, while the envelope knob controls the curve of the envelope. In this mode, the Kinematic is capable of modulating your signal with an auto-wah effect.
