The Charger 290 is fitted with two Reverend Steelhead P90 pickups that deliver the clarity, punch, and expressive dynamics players expect from classic P90 designs. Their innovative sidewinder coil construction preserves the characteristic snap, grit, and harmonic richness of traditional single-coils while significantly reducing unwanted hum, making them ideal for both clean and high-gain playing. Specifically voiced for their bridge and neck positions, the pickups provide balanced output and smooth transitions between settings, giving you articulate cleans, powerful crunch, and singing lead tones with impressive consistency.

Resonant construction with enhanced sustain

A lightweight korina body provides balanced frequencies, lively resonance, and rich harmonic detail while remaining comfortable during extended performances. Reverend's thinner body profile improves ergonomics and upper-fret access without compromising tone.
