Six-voice analog power

Artemis offers six fully independent voices, each based on the smart VCO design found in the Typhon and Murmux Adept. This allows you to smoothly blend waveforms, introduce frequency modulation, apply glide, and shape complex tones quickly. Voice spread and stereo panning give depth and width to your polyphonic textures, turning every chord into a rich, immersive experience.

Filters that shape and scream

The analog signal path is guided through a switchable 12 dB or 24 dB per octave low-pass filter with resonance, followed by a dedicated resonant high-pass filter for more flexible tone shaping. Filter FM is available for the low-pass circuit, adding harmonic movement and sharp-edged timbres perfect for aggressive leads or shifting textures. The filters retain Dreadbox’s signature sound while providing new control possibilities for both subtle and extreme results.

Deep modulation with creative control

Two LFOs offer different roles in the modulation matrix. LFO 1 includes a fade-in feature for gradually introducing modulation, while LFO 2 features cross-modulation for chaotic or metallic textures. Both include multiple waveforms and can be routed to pitch, pulse width, VCO waveforms, filter cutoff, and more. Add in two ADSR envelopes and a smart modulation layout, and Artemis gives you a playground for detailed movement and expression.

Stereo effects for expanded sound

To complement its analog core, Artemis includes a suite of stereo digital effects from Sinevibes, who previously collaborated with Dreadbox on the Typhon. You get lush reverbs, stereo delays, modulation effects like chorus and phaser, and a master distortion for added grit and impact. These effects are tightly integrated, enhancing your patches without needing external processors.

Built for exploration and performance

With an intuitive user interface, preset recall, and a built-in polyphonic step sequencer, Artemis is designed for fast sound creation and live expression. The layout is simple enough for quick inspiration but deep enough for complex sound design. The sequencer allows for real-time polyphonic pattern creation, giving you more performance options without requiring external gear.
