The first Air Motion Transformer was developed by the CEO of HEDD Audio – Klaus Heinz. The Air Motion Transformer was a revolutionary piece of technology that helped to further boost the sound reproduction of studio monitors. It has been implemented within many high-end studio monitor designs from the past and the present to achieve pristine audio quality.

The HEDDphone is the first pair of headphones on the market to incorporate the powerful technology and design aspects. The headphones also include custom VVT (variable velocity transformer) technology which has created the unique diaphragm design to let the AMT technology achieve a full and broad frequency response. The result is a sound like never before, pushing the boundaries of sound reproduction and audiophile-grade headphones.

Sleek, comfortable design

The large-sized cans fit over your ears and will fit snugly onto any user. The padded and adjustable headband is designed to minimise listening fatigue whilst offering maximum comfort when in use. The high-end components and exceptional sound clarity mean that you will require a powerful headphone amplifier to use the HEDDphone. The cans themselves are covered in foam padding with a protective leather covering to ensure the best fit and feel.

Connection comes in the form of dual 2.2 metre mini XLR cables on each headphone channel (left and right) and are also exchangeable. This outputs to a standard stereo jack so you can use it with a wide range of gear and headphone amps. A coiled cable is also available (not included) which can be used to increase the output level and channel separation for optimised performance.
