Create A Wide Range Of Percussion Sounds

The Audio Damage ADM12 Neuron has the ability to create a broad range of percussion sounds. This all starts off with its carrier waveform which is a single-cycle sample of a 909 kick's main oscillator. The waveform is tuneable between 20Hz to 1kHz allowing you to create a range of percussion sounds including kicks, snare, hats and more. A broad range of kick drum sounds can be created from the normal kick, hardstyle kick and laser kick. The Neuron also features an internal noise generator which is ideal for creating any snare or cymbal sounds. Conveniently, the ADM12 can be triggered manually with a manual button so you can create your sound before needing to patch in another module to trigger it. However, you can patch in another module to trigger the ADM12 such as a sequencer to create a drum pattern.

Saturation and Distortion

The ADM12 features a distress knob which is dual purpose. This knob is used for saturating or distorting your sound. From zero to halfway is the soft saturation that has been overdriven and can quickly add some crunch and character to your drum sound. From 12 o'clock to full the distortion kicks in and this again can be used to alter the timbre of the drum sound and add some crunch to it. Overall, the Neuron is a highly versatile drum voice module for your eurorack system that is simple to use.

Modulation

As an added bonus, the Neuron features modulation with a pure sine wave that is tuneable between 5Hz to 1kHz. The modulator waveform rate can also be adjusted to have either slow smooth modulation or super quick modulation. Turning the rate and depth knobs can result in classic FM sounds.
