With just a simple sine and triangle wave a broad range of sounds can be created. The Boomtschak can create mostly any type of digital drum and percussion sound as well as strange FX. Various parameters allow for changing the timbre of your sound. The ADM14 is capable of huge, face-melting kicks and snare, simple hats, and laser FX. Ideal for the producer, the Boomtschak enables the user to create their own digital drums and FX for their productions. With an oscillator that can track 1V/Oct over nearly 7 octaves, the Boomtschak is capable of being used as a synth voice for sub-bass and mallet-style sounds as well.
The Boomtschak features a triangle core oscillator and noise that run through a state variable filter on the right hand side of module. The ADM14 allows you to control the frequency and resonance of the multi-mode filter with high pass, low pass, and band pass for modifying the sine or triangle wave and the noise source. Additionally, there are parameters for decay time allowing you to set the release of the wave and noise source. The Boomtschak gives you control over a wide range of parameters to create a broad range of percussion based sounds.
The Boomtschak also includes filter modulation. The Mod Source switch allows you the choose the source of modulation for the filter frequency, with 3 different options for altering the timbre of the wave, whereas the Mod Depth knob allows you to control how much modulation signal changes the filter frequency.
The Boomtschak features a waveshaper knob where the selected oscillator signal is sent through to alter the timbre and tone of the wave. The waveshaper knob controls a simple wave-folder which changes the shape of the VCO's signal.
