Basing its design on Polyvoks highly renowned VCF module, the Dtech VCF utilises the same principles, as well as the sound circuit with the original Russian ICs K14UD12. Its compact yet powerful design is ideal for a range of applications, from providing additional modulation for synth units, to changing the way you shape and design your sounds. The advanced controls and parameters allow you get the most out of your input signals. The result is everything from deep, punchy basses to resonant screams and squelches; something which the original Polivoks was well-known for.

Versatile Filters & Connectivity

In total, the Dtech VCF Module provides you with five patch points including dual CV inputs and even a Resonant CV connection. The three-position switch located toward the top of the unit allows you toggle between filters, including three settings: LP, BP & Curve. Next to the switch is an input level attenuator, providing precise control of your main levels. Accompanying the filter settings, is a range of advanced modulation controls including: Cutoff, Cutoff Curve, Res CV Level, Resonance, CV Level, Res Slope and the most unique and prominent connection – the CV Assign. The CV assign control can be used to send the CV1 and CV2 inputs to Cutoff and Resonance, or even to both for optimal flexibility. This is highly useful for creating deep resonating bass tones, that will not self-oscillate, even when the cutoff is increased.

Design & Layout

The sleek black paint job accentuates the all-metal construction, providing optimal durability, as well as remaining uniformed within any modular setup. The precision attenuation controls allow you to do everything from make subtle nudges to wide sweeps, with all parameters highly responsive for optimal audio performance. The premium-grade circuitry ensures high audio fidelity, with all buffered inputs and diode protection. The module is also highly compact, only requiring 14HP of rack space, providing unobtrusive filtering for any modular setup.
