The iLoud Precision 5 MKII is designed with one key goal: to provide an honest, uncoloured listening experience that allows decisions to be made with confidence. With a linear frequency response of ±1 dB from 46 Hz to 30 kHz and a low-end extension to 39 Hz at -4 dB, it provides a full-range sound that stays precise even in the lows. A linear phase response (within ±20° from 150 Hz upward) and coherent time alignment ensure that transients remain intact and imaging stays true to the source.
Each monitor is individually calibrated to within 0.5 dB of sensitivity tolerance. This level of consistency is important when working with matched pairs or multi-speaker systems for immersive formats. Whether used for mixing, mastering, or post-production, the MKII provides a reliable reference point that helps deliver results with less trial and error.
Smart calibration with ARC X integration - with included MEMS microphone
Thanks to built-in ARC room correction, the iLoud Precision 5 MKII adapts automatically to your environment. Using the ARC X system, it measures and adjusts the frequency response, delay and level, compensating for room anomalies and speaker placement limitations. This ensures that what you hear is not skewed by your space, allowing more accurate judgement of tone and balance.
The included high-precision MEMS measurement microphone helps to analyse your room’s acoustics. By capturing detailed data on how sound behaves in your space it helps identify problematic frequencies and reflections. This information is then used to create a custom correction profile that ensures what you hear from your monitors is accurate and consistent, so you can trust your mix to translate well across any listening environment.
Beyond room correction, ARC X also includes reference monitor emulation, letting users replicate the frequency response of popular studio monitors within the same speaker. This can be useful for checking mixes across different speaker profiles without switching physical systems. The firmware also supports fast feature updates, future compatibility and improvements over time, making it a long-term tool in a changing studio setup.
Refined cabinet and driver design
The MKII series features an upgraded cabinet design made from precision-damped MDF. This construction lowers resonance and diffraction, which improves clarity and stereo imaging. A graphene-reinforced textile dome tweeter delivers extended high frequencies with reduced distortion, while the ultra-light 5-inch paper mid-woofer offers fast transient response and accurate midrange detail.
Custom Class-D amplifiers provide a total of 135 watts RMS power, ensuring high dynamic range with controlled delivery. The design supports a maximum continuous SPL of 101.6 dB, with peaks reaching 113.3 dB. This level of headroom is suitable for both nearfield use and more demanding production environments. Controlled dispersion ensures consistent performance across a wide listening area, which is especially helpful in collaborative sessions or immersive speaker arrays.
Flexible setup and workflow enhancements
The MKII introduces new mounting options to support a wider range of studio installations. A dedicated metal bracket (available separately) allows secure mounting and precise angling, helping to meet the needs of Dolby Atmos and other immersive systems. This makes it easier to position the monitors correctly and maintain consistent sound throughout the listening area.
Additional workflow features include an optional hardware remote for real-time switching between ARC X profiles, plus advanced acoustic space controls for fine-tuning low and high-frequency output. Desktop mode compensation, standby control, and flexible low-frequency roll-off points (35, 50, 65 or 80 Hz) are also built in. Together, these features allow you to tailor the monitors to suit both your environment and your working style with minimal setup time.
