You can record a melody on the keys, build a rhythm on the pads, and adjust assigned parameters using the encoders, keeping the controls you need close to hand while an idea takes shape. The onboard display shows MIDI values as you make adjustments, helping you keep track of your settings.

Its musical tools give you several ways to develop a starting point. Explore a chosen key with Smart Scale, try chord voicings with Smart Chord, or use the arpeggiator to create movement from held notes.
