Zynaptiq Intensity Overview
The Zynaptiq Intensity is not quite an eq, compressor or limiter, but a combination of all three handled by artificial intelligence to produce a one-touch-go workflow. Intensity increases the perceived loudness and density of your mix while developing clarity all within a sound's inherent detail.
Intensity can be compared to an infinite-band compressor operating in relative terms, but the time constants are zero and the whole plugin is controlled by artificial intelligence based on facial recognition software adapted for sound so that Intensity can be adjusted with essentially just one knob. However, Intensity is not a compressor and achieves a distinct sound, but the comparison gives an idea of when to use it and in what context.
Although Intensity's workflow is designed around a single parameter, Zynaptiq has provided a selection of other parameters for fine-tuning in specific situations. Bias curve selection, level compensation, gain levels and custom curve production all work to help you achieve a detailed yet forceful sonic quality.

The purpose of intensity is to combine eq, compression and limiting to develop your sound's detail, clarity, density and loudness with mastering-grade quality. The trick is that Intensity features artificial intelligence based on facial recognition software to carve out the most important features of a signal. Thus, the whole process can be streamlined into a single knob; "Intensity". The Intensity knob simply determines the strength of the plugin's unique processing technique, so despite all of the intelligence behind the scenes, you retain absolute control.
Between the proprietary algorithm and an optional soft-knee saturating limiter in the plugin's output stage, Intensity can potentially attain maximum loudness to create an aggressive tone. All the same, Intensity is capable of nuance, and can bring subtle yet vibrant boosts to your mix.
Precision controls
For the most part, the workflow involved with Intensity will be as simple as inserting the plugin and adjusting the intensity amount. However, when the situation calls for a precise or specific adjustment then Intensity also offers the parameters necessary to accommodate.
Intensity comes packaged with a wide and varied selection of Bias Curves that determine which sections of your frequency spectrum are affected, or alternatively, you can create a custom curve in a similar fashion to a graphic EQ.
Because Intensity can reach aggressive levels of tone and loudness Zynaptiq has featured a Level Compensation toggle button. Level Compensation compensates for changes in the audio level produced by the plugin, so you can push the limits of Intensity without worrying about losing the nuances within your dynamics.
Dry/Wet and Gain parameters ensure that you retain control over the precise amount of Intensity applied to your audio, so you can push your audio to extreme levels or let it rest comfortably within your mix.
