Polyverse Supermodal Overview
Polyverse Supermodal is an advanced filter plug-in that combes two filter types; a regular state-variable filter and the modal filter. Perfect for helping to add resonance and dynamic movement to static sources, Supermodal employs a sophisticated range of filtering options for any audio track in your mix or session. The typical 24dB/oct state-variable filter features low-pass, band-pass and high-pass filters, capable of being driven into self-resonance and includes a drive circuit for added harmonic enhancement. The star of Supermodal is the modal filter which uses hundreds of internal band-pass filters to accurately model the resonances of acoustic instruments and can also be used to create FX including phasers, delay and flangers as well as human vowel noises.

A unique filtering mechanism, Supermodal features a Modal filter which utilises hundreds of under-the-hood filters to create accurate resonances of various acoustic instruments, objects, effects and more. There are nine models, each with three variations for a total of 27 modes. Here, you have access to a range of unique sounds from flangers, phasers, vocal vowels, acoustic piano instruments, delays and much more. Customising your sound design is made simple with just a few parameters including the decay, dampening and partial settings to take your sound from subtle to the otherworldly!
Flexible modulation
The full sonic capabilities of Supermodal are unlocked when combining both the traditional and modal filters with powerful modulation. Four slots can be used to house six potential sources ranging from the Meta knob, ADSR, envelope follower, sequencer, MIDI/CV triggers and randomizer.
For even more varied modulation capabilities, Supermodal lets you cross-modulate between any of the four slots, modulate your modulation! Perfect for contemporary sound designers, both the state-variable filter and Modal filter operate in stereo with independent left and right modulation possibilities. Opening the doors for awe-inspiring stereo width and movement, virtually every parameter in Supermodal can be modulated taking sterile and static sounds to dynamic soundscapes filled with movement.
